FAQs

General

FYT is a MiCA-compliant utility token backed by basalt rock that finances carbon-negative soil‐health projects and powers payments inside the Flour Yield ecosystem.

FYT is issued by Insela UAB, a GreenTech/GreenFi company registered in Lithuania.

Each token is collateralised by one kilogram of basalt powder, which both sequesters CO₂ through enhanced rock weathering and remineralises soils—documented by on-chain MRV.

Basalt & Environmental Impact

When rainwater reacts with basalt’s silicate minerals, it converts atmospheric CO₂ into stable bicarbonate that flows to the oceans and stores carbon for millennia.

It slowly releases essential minerals (Ca, Mg, K, Si), raises pH, and strengthens plants—often reducing or eliminating the need for synthetic fertilisers and pesticides.

Yes. Mineral-rich, silicon-fortified crops show 20–60 % less pest and disease pressure, lowering or even eliminating pesticide sprays.

Token Mechanics & Utility

Use it as payment for basalt fertiliser, regenerative farm inputs, and selected organic foods; earn it by contributing field data, referrals, or educational content; stake it to unlock soil-analytics dashboards and discounts.

No. It is a utility token whose value is tied to real-world basalt but may fluctuate with market demand; it does not guarantee a peg or redemption right.

In Phase 2 we plan to upgrade FYT to an Asset-Referenced Token (ART) under MiCA, backed by basalt + verified carbon credits + liquidity reserve, enabling optional redemption at net asset value.

Compliance & Governance

FYT is classified under Title II (“other tokens”), with a notified Crypto-Asset White Paper, audited reserves, and strict AML/KYC procedures.

Independent labs analyse soil samples and bicarbonate runoff; findings are hashed on-chain and reviewed annually by an accredited ESG auditor.

No. FYT offers consumption benefits only—discounts, access, and ecosystem rewards. There is no promise of profit or guaranteed buy-back price.

Partnership & Supply

From the Spac Quarry in northern Albania, operated by Balkan Basalt Shpk, a subsidiary of Balkan Basalt Holding B.V. (Netherlands).

Insela holds title to 10 million tonnes under a long-term purchase agreement; payments are staged in FYT and fiat.

Risk & Disclaimer

Yes. FYT prices may fluctuate, regulatory changes could impact trading, and projected carbon credits are subject to scientific uncertainty—read the full Risk Factors section before participating.

The FYT Foundation pre-commits to purchase extra carbon credits to keep the token’s net-negative footprint; technical migration remains an option if needed.
